Galerie Di'Art Graphique, Centre Pompidou, Paris
24 June - 14 September 2015
The first solo exhibition of work by Valérie Belin at Centre Pompidou will include over thirty works focused around her most recent series 'Super Models'. The exhibition will examine the ambiguity in much of her work as to whether her subjects are alive or inanimate, real or virtual, natural or artificial. This tension is created through Belin's treatment of light, contrast and the proportions of the prints. The works on show include the series 'Michael Jackson', 'Black Women I', 'Lido', 'Meats', 'Engines' and 'Fruit Baskets' (pictured here).
