Je m'appelle Filda Adoch (My name is Filda Adoch)
Galerie Noir & Blanc, Paris
9 September - 17 October 2015
Martina Bacigalupo's series My name is Filda Adoch will be exhibited at Galerie Noir & Blanc which focuses on social or humanist photography. The gallery aims to raise awareness to this type of photography and to provide a meeting place for photographers to discuss ideas, experiences and projects.
My name is Filda Adoch focuses on the everyday life of a woman living in the Gulu district of North Uganda. The war between the Ugandan Army and the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) has been waged for more than 20 years and has been described as the world's worst forgotten humanitarian crisis. Martina's project aims to show the suffering of the local people alongside their silent and extraordinary resistance.
